Bloomstem Cotton Shirt

Shirt crafted in recycled undyed cotton, retaining a natural off-white/ivory tone with a soft, breathable texture.  
 
The silhouette is straight and slightly relaxed, with a clean fall, standard shirt collar, front button closure, and full sleeves cut wider at the hem. Length sits just below the waist for a boxy proportion.
 
The piece features an appliqué constructed from upcycled Patola and Banarasi fabric scraps, repurposed from pre-constructed garments. The appliqué forms a floral motif placed on the left front panel, starting near the chest and extending vertically towards the hem. he flower head is rendered in deep red and pink tones with visible woven patterning from the original textiles, while the stem is in muted green with subtle multicolour accents.  Flower: deep red/pink tones with visible woven pattern references from Patola/Banarasi textiles Stem: muted green with subtle pattern variation. The appliqué introduces contrast in both colour and surface against the neutral base, while maintaining a flat, integrated finish. 

Finished with coconut shell buttons along the center front, reinforcing the material-led approach.
